Hello everyone.

This week for social studies we are learning something new. For this week for social studies my classmates and I have been learning about the Pacific Ocean. But before we had started on doing that we first had to watch a movie called “Moana.” This movie was talking about different things in the Pacific ocean such as locating where other island can be and so much more.

For this period we were assigned to find around the different countries throughout the Pacific Ocean. We had to label the capital cites of each country, and also to found a natural landmark place. For me it was a bit tricky but at the end I had managed to do it.

For the past week in social studies our class has been researching on different types of civilisation throughout the world. For my own research I have decided to do the Inca Civilisation because it had one of the most successful civilisation in south america. I have added many different things such as their religion, beliefs and so much more. Today was our last day to finish it.

Today for social studies our class are currently researching different types of civilisation. For my one I have been currently researching about the Inca Civilisation. In the last post I had finished was about the physical geography about it. It took some time to finish it which was fun. Now I have finished researching the Inca’s government & society and their arts & technology. So far I have done research on those 3 and been writing about them.

For today in social studies we have been learning about the Inca Civilisation. This week our class got to chose different types of Civilisation around the world. For mine I choose the Inca Civilisation because it was one of the most successful empire that ever lived. Firstly I am currently working Physical Geography of this and so far I have been doing good. It’s been really fun researching and learning more about the empire itself.

Today for social studies will be the last day of my class learning about Rome. It was really fun learning about ancient Rome and I had learned so much about it. For our last activity on Rome we have been doing and researching about Roman Entertainment. There were multiple types of Roman entertainment such as boat racing, gladiators and even chariot racing. Firstly everyone had to choose what they wanted to learn about for our last activity for Rome. I chose gladiators because they were really interesting. The next time I did was watch a video about gladiators and why they did it. It was a little sad because only one of them could be free while the one dies. Now lastly we had to answer some questions that our teacher had given us.

Some of the questions were a little tricky but thankful I researched some of the questions which made it a little easy for me. Here is the doc that I had been working on.

Hello everyone.

For the last week for P.E we have been doing football. We have been learning varies of things in football such as dribbling passing, goal kick and many more other things. We have been mainly focused on Offside (which means two defenders being near the goal) and also Onside (which means they are in a position which they can kick, throw and receive in football.  We have been doing football for the last 3 weeks and today conclusions our last day of learning and playing football for PE.

Mostly in the start we practice dribbling (staying on the ball while moving it around the pitch) and also we most of the time we pass around a ball.

Here are some words used in football and what they mean.

Passing is when you kick or hit the ball towards your partner.

Throw in when the last player who last touched the when the whole of the passes over the touchline, on the ground or the air. They cannot score a goal while in throw in.

Goal kick is when the opposite team hits the near the goal but it goes outside meaning the goalie gets a free kick.

Football is played with 11 players on each team on the field at one time. the field is 90m wide x 92m in length.

The equipment needed is 1 Jersey and 2 Gloves.

The 5 most important rules in football are

1. The objective of the game.
2. Playing field and equipment
3. Team structure and positions
4. Fouls and Penalties
5. Duration of the game

My reflection:

One thing that I improved at was dribbling and passing

One thing I enjoyed was learning new things about football

I need to keep working on my dribbling a little bit more.

I enjoyed playing the team as my friends because they help me improve.

I always brought my PE gear to school.

Out of 10 I would give myself a 7 out of 10 because I need to work more on football and learning new skills.

 

Hello everyone.

Today for social studies this week we have been learning about Rome. We have been learning mostly about Ancient Rome and there history behind it. So far I have learnt the empires, sculptures and many more. But for today we are learning about the Roman Amy. Firstly our task was to learn more about the Roman Legions and their armies. After that we had to answer questions the differences between modern police and Roman Legionnaires. I had learnt so much about it and they were some types the both of them where different. For example modern police have guns which is a disadvantage to the Roman legionnaires. But the Roman Legionnaires have really good shields because their shields have really good curves on them which makes them harder to get.

And after that we also had to learn how Roman’s used the turtle formation and why police still use it to this day. It was really interesting learning about it.

Hello Everyone.

Today for social studies we have been doing a lot more about Rome. This time we are learning about the the difference timelines about Ancient Rome. Firstly everyone in my class watched a video explaining about ancient Rome. I learnt about about the video and it also helped me complete the task. Now secondly we had to answer the following questions about what we had just learnt from the video. Most of the questions were a little bit easy and I had fun researching for the answers which was awesome.

In social studies we have been learning about Rome. But for today we were learning about the Roman Republic. We have been learning about the different types of people in Rome for example back then they would have these people called senators to help the king or the emperor of Rome. But Firstly before we learnt that our class had to watch a video about these type of stuff for Rome. it was really interesting watching the video because it was my very first time learning about those types of things for Rome.

After that we had to answer question about what we had learnt and some of the questions were kinda hard so I research and it was really fun learning about it

Hello Everyone

For this week for social studies we have been learning about Rome. One of the main topics we had to learn today was about their sculptures. But before I tell you anything about that let me tell you what we had to do first. Firstly everyone in my class was given 3 options that were important back then such as Mosaic, Painting and lastly Sculpture. For this task I choose Sculpture because to me it was going to be fun learning about why they had made them in the first place.

After that we had read and also find some facts about our main topic and it took me 20 minutes to read the article because I was reading every detail about it. After that we were asking to answer some questions that our teacher had given us. Most of the question really really easy because most of them were inside the article. I had learnt that the reason why Romans built sculpture of humans was because of losing their family members and I had also learnt that they made the first Roman emperor a sculpture which was Augustus because back then he was super powerful so in honour him for what he did.
